Anyone shipping a container to Melbourne this year?

Hi There,

I have done a few posts on this site over the last few weeks, namely advice for people looking to move to the lucky country.

Basically, I'm looking for a favour. I'm coming back to the UK in May for a few weeks to see me Mum n' that, when there I am looking to buy a trials motorbike (the small ones they used to use on Kickstart :-)). These types of bikes are a fortune here in Aus and a good used one can be picked up for less than half the price in the UK.

So, my question is there anyone shipping they're stuff to Melbourne (could be Sydney too) in the latter half of 2012, and if so - would be you consider letting me put a bike in there and obviously paying for the privilage?

I would assume maybe 250 pound would be a reasonable figure?

Please do let me know if anyone thinks this would work.

Thanks,

Surfndirt

The same rules apply to this as to importing a car. You won't get an import permit for it unless you have owned and used it overseas for 12 months. Any motorised vehicle, whether it is for the road or not, requires an import permit.
