The mortgage we have in the UK is in my name as my partner has no credit rating, he only has a building society account, no bank account or credit cards(Is this normal?!!!) He will be the main bread winner in Aus and we wondered if this would cause problems getting a mortgage in Aus. Do they check out your UK credit rating or do you start from scratch?
