Medical advice

Hi all - hope someone can help?

I'm early 40's, and awaiting surgery - I work full-time and have since leaving school at 16.

My job is very physical and requires me standing/on the move for 10/12 hours a day, there is a possiblility I may be pensioned off. Legally I can try to find another job which will accomodate my condition - which I have found in Australia with the same company I currently work for.

My question is, will the fact that I have been pensioned off dramatically impact on my medical required for the visa ? <even though I will be perfectly capable of doing the new job in Australia>

So much to think about - I need to do what's best for me now, but I don't want to ruin any chance I have of Australia in the future ?
