Once again checked emails but still no word on our subclass 119 visa. I understand about being pro-active but we our using visa agent who told us its not good idea to be asking case officer to many times.

Our agent only spoke with him once and apart from saying he was out of the office until yesterday he did not give us any info. My sponors nomanation was approved 20th of December. I have not seen any one on this site who moved to Oz on subclass 119 visa but if ther is please let me know. Thanks again all.

I saw your other post too, and hopefully this will reassure you. I came over on a partner visa and didn't use an agent. It was estimated to take 6 months. The case officer we had was extremely efficient. I never phoned him but emailed him (that we you have a record of the conversation) a few times either to clarify he had received the information or to find out how long we had. He always responded within 24 hours and didn't seem to mind us enquiring. Sometimes he did give the stock standard answers, but at least we knew our application hadn't been dropped. He finalised our application within 5 months, and even noticed that he was able to provide me with a permanent residency visa straight away rather than a temporary residency.

 

I was very impressed and they never came across that I was hassling them.

God its great to get helpful advise, no matter how many things you read its better to hear from someone thats been through the poocess.

 

We have taken the advise and our case officer replied to asy he will have an outcome for us next week (result).

 

So I think everthing will crossed fingers toes eyes, I am sure all will be fine but you start letting the doubts creep in.

 

I will keep you posted as to when visa is granted.
