My partner is over in UK from OZ (my WHV visa expired and looking at applying for de facto later on this year when enough evidence is collected). He is only here till next Thurs and wanted to open a joint bank account. Copuld you recommend one in uk we can go to whereby we can both access in oz an uk (internet banking)? Only want like a savings account where we can deposit money as and when as its not main active accoutn and we want to save for a TV together. ANZ in UK(moving to OZ) offered an account whereby you can open over phone but sounds a bit too good to be true. HSBC want an international advance account £10 per month. You could open an account with NAB online (they have no monthly fees unlike the other Oz banks) you could then make payments in to that account, the only thing is you wouldn't be able to take the money out until you validated your account.
