Guest trisimper
Has anyone been denied a 457 Visa due to Chronic Hepatitis B? I am a nurse applying for a 457 Visa but my husband who is my dependent has Chronic Hepatitis B. Has anyone ever been denied because of this? Need some advice? Thanks. Guest GoldCoastMag
This may be a question to run past an immigration lawyer, the ones often mentioned to do with medical cases on the board are Allan Collett and Peter Bollard. If you have plans to turn the temporary visa to permanent one day, I think the medical criteria is stricter when looking at permanent and you may find although you have been able to live and work on a temp visa that you are not eligible to go for permanent. Now depending whether you are viewing this as an adventure or a life change depends whether the terms will be acceptable to you. Hope it helps a little, and that someone more knowledgeable may post soon! Good luck
