Guest gp
Yes, dull and unpopular but I've fallen into a career in tax. I am hoping to move to Oz in around 12 months and I am currently just doing preliminary research re emigrating. As far as I can ascertain I will be eligible for a working visa. I am a qualified tax adviser (ATT if that means anything to people) but will have only been in the profession 2.5 years so still only looking for a fairly junior position. Where would I start looking for vacancies? I'm struggling to find any at the minute. At this stage I'd consider anywhere in Australia. Would I stand much of a chance of getting a job there before I moved out (telephone / video conference interviews etc.) or would have to take the plunge and move without a job? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Guest ABCDiamond
For a Tax Advisor, the first question being asked to you may be: What Australian Tax experience do you have ? Also, to be a Tax Agent here, you need to register with the Tax Agents Board - http://www.tabd.gov.au/ We used the CCH Australian Master Tax Guide for most Tax references and rules. Hope the links help.
