Guest silverstrand
Hi Everyone, I am a permanent resident, married and separated but not divorced (no divorce in my home country) having a de-facto relationship with a 457 visa holder (temporary resident). I am giving birth on Feb, next year and we would like to get his parents to visit us and see the newborn baby as well as for them to have a tour in Australia. Would I be eligible to be a co-sponsor of my partner's parents' visa application though we are not legally married? Because our savings is under my name (we're still in the process of getting a joint account) and I think adding up my income to the application would give us more chances of getting the visa approved?! My friends have done it, and their parents were issued a 12-month visa. The problem is, the couples are actually married. Our problem is, we are not. Anyone here who's in the same situation as me? Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance
