Guest barnsleydave
I have been offered a job with sponsorship subject to the granting of a 457 visa - this is initially going to be a worry as I am over 45 and not currently employed in the mining industry. However my real concern is the move from 457 to PR in a couple of years - by that time I will be 49 and the advice is that PR is for those 45 and unders! The company I will be working for would sponsor me, subject to satisfactory performance etc.. - but it is still a worry as if we cannot move to PR then to come back to the UK would be horrendous after committing to the move. Has anyone out there made the move to PR in similar circumstances?
