Guest milliesmum Posted May 31, 2011 Share Posted May 31, 2011 Hi all Hubby and I are Scots but currently living in NZ...the longest two years of our life so far. :sad: We want to make the move to Oz on a 457 for a few years as we are too old for PR. Reckon we still have a few good years working life left before we head back to Scotland and would rather do it in a country where skills and experience are valued. He is on the skills list as an occupational therapist and it should be pretty easy to find an employer to sponsor him. Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes to process the sponsor bit? From what I read on the threads it would appear our part of the 457 can take up to 8 weeks..although at our age (50+) I suspect immigration will insist on medicals too.
