we are in Adelaide and just had a quote for a 20foot container back to uk $5300 then £629 from uk port to house we pack our self anyone had cheaper would like to know or if you want details of remover would be glad to forwad name on.

Also had quote for my small dog to come home $2,000 anyone had cheaper

are you going through uk companies?

 

The reason i ask this, is that if it is possible to use your AUS dollars to pay a uk company, the exchange rate will benefit you massively, compared to you paying companies in Australia.

 

Does this make any sense? and can you do it like this?

We are seeing $7,000 for a 20 ft container from Perth, so you seem to have a bargain.

Small dog sounds like the same as a cat...just the same price.

 

Ropey...seems complicated..you send the money to UK and they send it back to Aus ..???

We have had a quote from Movements International for $3600 for a 20 ft container. That is me providing the container as we want one in the UK for awhile.

About $3k for approx 24m3.

 

Our stuff arrived home Dec 23rd, a little later than first thought but with all the snow here we can't complain.

 

Overall their service was very good. Well packed and only minor damage (1 photo frame has got cracked glass and a few plastic toys got slightly mis-shaped).
