I have just got an email from my MA, I have been assigned a CO ... I need to do my police clearance again as it has expired... !!! Please check my timeline for further information!!! I m n melb tmrw, ws thinking 2 go to diac Melbourne office n morning. I m bit afraid 2 go there and ask abt applica status bcz I called 2ce last mnth for the status. As I know tht it comes into their systems whnevr u call and some1 told m tht if u do it, it's nt gd fr applica process. Am I rgt or wrong, so wt u say shd I go tmrw or w8 until mid sep. I had applied for my visa application on 23rd April 2012 and got my acknowledgement 2 weeks later... From what I understand... I have been asked to provide police clearance for my home country ONLY iF i have spent more than 2 months overseas in my home country .. after the police clearance has expired.... Yes, looks like they have resumed processing applications at Melb DIAC however DRC applications have been priority ... If yours is Non DRC, wait till 8months are over before contacting Melb DIAC.... My visa application was DRC ... whether immi have accepted the application as DRC or NON DRC, I will never know coz they dont confirm that...
