Sunchine Coast - Oncology

Billabong

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm still trying to persuade my wife to move to Buderim, we've had a visa for some time.

She's happy working as a clinical nurse specialist oncology, like a hospital based macmillan nurse I think, before this she was a staff nurse on a gynae/oncology ward

Would she find a job on the Sunshine Coast or would she have to work in Brisbane.

Many thanks for any tips.

You`d find work pretty much anywhere as a nurse. If you want to be more specialised then you will have to look more at the bigger cities I would think

Correct and I have it on good authority, that it's not just talk.............or at least it wasn't until they blew a bloody big hole in the budget.................Cap'n Bligh is in for a mutiny it seems. :biglaugh:

Cheers, I did read somewhere about a new hospital.... meanwhile I've been on Nambours website and printed off a vacancy for a 'Clinical Nurse - Palliative Care Service' which i'll take home and leave lying about somewhere.........

Hi try www.health.qld.gov.au It lists all the public sector nursing jobs in QLD. The New hospital is supposed to be built at Kawana and be complet for 2014 but they havent broken ground yet and the locals are as sceptical of completion dates for it as most peolpe are in the uk over NHS projects!

By the way I work at Nambour and was interviewed by phone for the position from the uk. They ever held the job for 6mths when our plans ran into problems and we were delayed!

Good luck:v_SPIN:
