Guest fatpom
I was talking to recruitment today at work who recruit 457 visa holders. She told me that the fed gov is reconsidering 457's partly because of abuse from MA & Employment Agencies. She stated some of these business entities are acting as labour hire companies and rorting the system. Presumably the losers being primarily those with little or no voice but also businesses will begin to feel rippped off. The last gov wouldn't have cared one iota if business leaders didn't care. The same is probably true of the current gov to a lesser degree but the world has now changed... recession, unemployment, deficit etc. I still think that 457's are a good 'try before you buy" and a quick way in but "caveat emptor" (buyer beware). :biglaugh: Read your contract very carefully.
