Guest The Pom Queen
Well Toyota has come out tops again this year as selling the most cars, followed by Holden (Vauxhall) and then Ford. However, VFACTS figures show the new car market is in severe decline, with 79,105 vehicles sold last month, down 10,184 sales or 11.4 per cent on October last year. Mazda, which has been a sales star in recent years, reported a 24 per cent drop last month with Hyundai and Kia suffering a 35 per cent and 31 per cent plunge. Lexus sales fell more than 60 per cent last month and Mercedes-Benz was off 43 per cent. Now the 2009 models are appearing in the showrooms the dealers will soon start reducing the 2008 models to make space, so anyone coming over in the next few months may be able to pick up a great bargain on new cars.
