Looking at Coming over on a 457 visa Can anyone please tell me or give me some idea on how much roughly a month you have to spend after tax on a 60k salary. We would be looking at renting to start with and obviously after settling in I would then look for a job myself. But if you could just give me some ideas on what there is to pay out. Guest grottypots Posted October 19, 2008 Share Posted October 19, 2008 Hi the Bank's use as a guide, the amount of approx $1500 per month as living expenses for a couple with no children and then a further $500 per child per month on top of that. This covers all general expenses like food, car, insurance etc. This does no cover any home loan repayment or rent so that would have to be on top. grottypots..... Guest brendapacis Posted October 19, 2008 Share Posted October 19, 2008 that's 3,600 a month after tax if the 60k does not include super,the ff.are estimated costs: rent- from 200-400/wkly depending on the area and no.of bedrooms (see reaestate.com.au) phone bill 50-100/mo. electricity 100-200/qtr. car 200-500/mo.depending on how much is your car loan(mine is 7k for 200/mo.)
