Hi everyone, have had a job offer in Perth so hopefully me and my girlfriend will be out there sometime next year, after doing alot of research about the lifestyle in Perth I keep reading about how good it is for families, what we want to know is what's it like for us younger folk? We enjoy eating out/drinking out, socialising etc, is there plenty of this in Perth? Also can anyone recommend an area to live that's not too far away from restaurants/bars but also isn't mega expensive? Thanks

18 to 30 :err: 18 is young and 30 is getting on.......Perth is boring as hell and I am in my late twenties, everything closes sooooo early in the week and the place is just dullsville if you are coming from a lively town in the UK.

I have to disagree. Im 25 and although I am currently in the UK (coming back to oz in november) I was living in Perth for 5 years! I think its a great place to live abd theres always loads going on. I have made some friends there and like here in the Uk I was always going on night outs and pub crawling it in Perth. The beaches are fab so always enjoyed bbqs on the beach with my mates and think its not only great for families but great for us young ones too!
