First steps after immigration

Hi all.

Alhamdulillah, just received my PR grant last week!

Now from the experienced people here, can I please have a list of things to do immediately? I have started a few, but I thought a comprehensive list will help most newcomers.

 

1. Register with CenterLink
2. Register family tax benefits through

3. Child Care subsidy(?)

4. Start talking to home loan experts in banks (if one wants to buy a home soon) (?)

What else?

Hi 

 Congratulations on the PR grant. I am presuming from your list you are already here in Aus, if so you may want to update Medicare on your visa status too as you should now have full cover not temp cover.
