addresses and maybe being refused cause I forgot to update old addresses ?

My wife moved in with me in  2016 we only lived together for 4 months due to religion . So I moved out to my mates house and let her live in my home . I moved back in  with my wife in 2019 . We are now applying for partner visa I haven’t told migration about me moving out and updating addresses when I wasn’t living there . I just kept it as my old address cause it was still basically my house but my wife was living in it not me . In my visa conditions you have to update addresses when you move, which I didn’t but now I’m back at the same address anyway . But when we tell them about our story about how I moved out will that be a problem and maybe they won’t believe us . Can they refuse us just because I forgot to update my old addresses when living with friends .
