Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had recent experience of undergoing a medical while overweight / obese? I understand in the past, weight /BMI itself wasn't an issue, just the conditions associated with weight are looked for, diabetes, high blood pressure, risk of heart attacks etc . Is this still the case?

We are a very active family, play sports & have no health conditions, or family history of health problems, none of us have the appearance of being 'fat', but we do have high muscle density, but BMI scores us as - myself just into obese, My wife just in to the ideal range, 8 yr old & 2 yr old as overweight & 6 yr old as ideal.

Does anyone know if this is going to be seen as a problem?

It's difficult to find information Googling but I copies a couple of migration agent pages. So far as I can tell, it is major illness/disease/health problems which are a threat to Australia or a cost for its health services?
