HanW
Hi! So I’ve done research into emigrating to Western Australia as a Primary School Teacher, and based on their migration website, I have a couple of questions. I’m not sure which visa would be more applicable, 189 or 190. Am I right to think I have to gain the qualification in WA to use the Graduate stream? Also, it requires 3 years experience post-qualification to meet the requirements for the Primary Teacher criteria. Is this after the PGCE is obtained? Or if I can teach after my degree (possibly through QTS) and before the PGCE, will this be acceptable as experience? I know the QTS isn’t recognised in Australia but wondered if the experience gained would qualify as it would be after the bachelor degree was obtained. I’d really like some information or peoples experiences with similar routes before deciding on which degree route to take! thank you kindly Edited May 22, 2019 by HanW
