Guest Brickie
All brickies are subbies, I have heard the the work has slowed down in Perth, they were advertising in the Melbourne papers some time back for brickies to work in Perth, but the ads have stopped now. Guest leeanne0312
Thanks brickie!! O.h has never done subbie work. Always been books in for 15 years!! Guess we'll never know till we go! Just a bit scary stepping into the unknown with 3 kids. Have a cousin in Melbourne and had considered going there but liked the sound of Perth for bringing up young family. Have an Auntie there also. Think the wages will be the same as what he gets here. £400 per week- (no weekends)-8-4.30. Is that about right were you are? Leeanne. xx
Guest Brickie
Brickies earn between $200 and $300 per day as a subbie, thats working for a boss. If you go out on your own they pay around the $800 per thousand mark, but you have to supply, mixer, barrows, hand tools, and scaffold, the scaffold is for single story houses so its not much.
