Federico Posted July 9, 2018 Share Posted July 9, 2018 Dear all, my girlfriend left Australia two months ago after having spent one year with a WHV here with me. I am on an old 457 visa expiring in October, which I was hoping to renew (now with a 482) after agreeing with my employer for a contract renewal. Provided that I'll manage to do so quickly, we'll still be in time to submit the application and be approved fairly soon, just in time for her to get back in the next few months. However, me and my gf were considering a PR application now, obviously a much longer procedure. My question is: would it be possible for her to come here on a tourist visa, or some other kind of visa, on which she could submit a joint PR application with me? A renewal of WHV is out of question I am afraid as she is now 31. The bulk of the matter is of course to shorten the time the two of us should be separated while waiting for the outcome of the application. Thank you in advance!
