lamoss
Hi there, I am looking at working as a radiographer In Australia, but I’m unsure if I just register with AHPRA or I need to apply to ASMIRT too? Any help would be much appreciated.
gord81
Hi Lamoss, You will need to complete a skills assessment with ASMIRT first in order to be eligible to apply for a skilled visa. You will need AHPRA if you are eligible/successful in applying for the skilled visa to work. I'd suggest getting the ASMIRT first. Good luck with it all Gordon
Bhabha
Hi Gordon I am also a diagnostic radiographer and was wondering if it’s a good idea to apply for AHPRA registration before getting a skillselect invitation? My visa date of effect is 4 November 2017 claiming 65 points for subclass 189.
Maheen
Hey Gordon Can you please help coz I'm a bit confused. I applied for skiled visa and now I'm a permanent resident in Australia and have my radiographer degree from Pakistan. Do I just need to register myself with AHPRA only or ASMIRT first??? RyanDoris
Hi, I would suggest having your skills assessed by ASMIRT first as this can take longer and then apply for AHPRA dependant on the state you intend to work in. Good luck!
