My situation requires me to obtain certificate from 2 different countries and the process is likely to take a while to complete. Should I apply for these certificates early and have them ready when I submit my application? Or should I wait for DIBP to inform me to request for the certificates? How current must these certificates be? Must they cover the entire period till I complete the residency requirements for citizenship by conferral? The overseas police department may require reason for the penal clearance certificate request. Does DIBP provide such any document that I can use to support my certificate request?
