jobiz
Hi all We are hoping to be in Australia by September 2018 and I wanted to make sure we get the best start possible so wanted to find out what I might need to do to secure employment. We are coming over on my husband's quallies on a skilled visa, but I'm a childcare practitioner currently working as a key worker in a nursery with 2-3 year olds. I have a Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies which in the U.K. is a level 5 qualification. Do I need to do anything to transfer my qualification/experience to enable me to work in this sector in WA? Thanks
Guest The Pom Queen
Hi @jobiz officially you probably don't need to change anything over BUT I find Australians have no clue when it comes to foreign qualifications. I ended up RPL'ing through a number of courses so that I had the Australian Certificate and I have to say it really does work. Also don't forget working with children check and police clearance will be required https://workingwithchildren.wa.gov.au/about/wwc-and-other-checks
