Joshisla
Hi Guys Looking for some information on the medical assessment that Bupa carry out, when assessing someone for a Carers visa. In this instance the person has severe mental health issues, but when you look at the forms it appears that they are aimed more at people with a physical disability rather than a mental one. Do you know of anyone who has been down this route when it has been a mental health issue. Thanks In Advance.

Yes Check the the Social Security Act’s Impairment Tables. The impairment must be at leat 30. There are very few carer visas allocated each year. There are reasons other than impairment level for carer visas being refused. Allow for the probability of first instance visa refusal. May I suggest that you consult a registered migration agent for advice about strategy?
