He was granted a 573 student visa in April (valid till 2020), and now he wanna transfer to a different education provider. He got a letter of release from the old school, and got a new COE from the new school. So he will apply for the new student visa 500 as the new school does not support visa 573. Meanwhile, he is holding the valid 573 visa (old COE was cancelled), and waiting for new visa 500 to be granted. So can he work in the meantime? If yes, can he work unlimited or only 40 hours per fortnight? And once he got his new student visa, can he start working? or he has to wait till the new course commence in Feb 2017? Thanks!
