PhoebeLam
Hello! I have a question about the skill assessment for Secondary Teacher. I understand that one of the criteria for Secondary teacher's assessment is to have at least 4 year full-time university/higher education level study in Australia. If I have a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (1 year full time in Australia), and a Bachelor of Business in Australia (standard course duration is 3 years [8 semesters], but I studied some courses during the optional summer semesters which shorten my degree time and I have some course credits (1 year credit) from my Diploma of Business, which then I finished this degree for 2 academic years [4 semesters] only). May I know if this case I am still be comparably to 4 year full time study? Thx! Phoebe
George Lombard
Hi Phoebe, Check with AITSL - they're quite approachable on this kind of issue and there's no point relying on the Department of Immigration methodology as all the skills assessing bodies are independent. Cheers, George Lombard
