Libby
I keep hearing about "me bank" and am thinking of opening an account with them. Does anyone have any experience with them? Or advice to go for it/avoid them? Thanks in advance for your help here.
Skani
I opened an online savings account with them when they were offering a very good interest rate and have had no problems. However I don't use it as an every day transaction account. But they seem to have some unhappy customers here: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/me-members-equity-bank.html
DivingMissDaisy
I use them, transaction & savings. No complaints from me. Always quick & helpful on the phone and great bonus rate on the savings account. Refunds for any ATM charges. All good. Libby
Thanks. I would probably just have the savings account at the moment but then it looks like you don't get the bonus interest rate without the everyday account too. The productreview website doesn't make me too happy though so I will have a think. Thanks for replying.
DivingMissDaisy
That's right, you need a transaction account and you need to do one tap transaction a month. I did that for a while and just bought one coffee a week using the paypass. To have funds at call and be getting over 3% is worth it. Some accounts like this only offer the bonus rate of interest for 3 months, where as there's no introduction period for this. Just tap a transaction a week and the extra 1.75% is yours.
