Jpj123
HI there, My wife and I will be leaving Darwin at the end of this year as my job is coming to an end. I have a job offer in melbourne as a boilermaker but we can't face the cold weather there after living in Darwin for 3 years. So we're thinking Brisbane.. Im just wondering what the employment situation is like for tradies there in general? Is it slow as the mining construction boom has ended? I know there's a housing construction boom happening at the moment but I can't see that lasting too much longer. Any info would be appricated. Thanks. foo
I'm not a tradie, nor do I work in the industry, but just by the sheer number of skyscrapers and apartment buildings being developed in and around the CBD, I would hazard a guess at the industry being booming. As for the weather, it still gets cold even this far north of Melbourne, and has been pretty chilly for the past couple of months.
