Gordon6517
Hi All, I have got my ACS assessment done and now I want to file an EOI. My query is regarding the EOI specifically claiming points for onshore experience. The ACS assessment letter states that my experience AFTER July 2015 can be used as relevant experience in the PR process. So 1 year of my work experience completes from 1st August 2015 to 1st August 2016. Last month I took unpaid leave of about 15 days. Now my question is that if I lodge the EOI now, will my 1 year of experience be considered complete? Will DIBP not consider the 2 weeks of unpaid leave as work experience? I do not have any salary slips for these weeks as they were unpaid. Also once the EOI is submitted and the invitation is received, does DIBP need the experience to be completed ON the date of lodging the EOI? If I lodge the EOI now and get an invite after a couple of months then will DIBP still check if my experience was complete on the day of lodging the EOI? I am really confused if I should lodge the EOI now or wait for another 15 days to cover the unpaid leave? Any help will be appreciated. lukescotty
did you take any holidays during that one year? I'm just thinking.... because when I was working casual, we didn't get paid holidays, therefore it would be the same as you, unpaid 2 week holiday? I'm no expert, just a thought
Gordon6517
Yes I took holidays. But they were all paid. Just these 2 weeks were unpaid. I am just wondering if DIBP will consider those 15 days as valid experience?
