JamesRT
Hi all My family and I are due to move back to the UK in 4 weeks. We have a Yaris that we've had for 7 years but we wouldn't want to take that with us so I was thinking of upgrading and buying a new(ish) car. Now we won't have had it 6 months but if i'm reading the guide lines correctly that only matters for VAT purposes. What if i bought it now, put it in storage for 2 months when i left and then it took 3 months to ship, would that make it VAT deductible? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards, James. cjscjs
Simply not worth it, cars are cheaper in the UK, also there are modifications you have to do in order to bring them up to UK spec, so that they can be driven on British roads.
Patphillips47
Unless it is typed as a European car it would need an SVA single vehicle approvals test plus a speedo in mph Our Captiva cost around 1500 quid to get it on the road plus th cost of shipping
