alison Posted March 15, 2016 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Hi we are getting married this Friday and will be taking our witnesses(4) who are all also providing form 888 statements with us,we are getting the celebrant to sign them for us,i have scanned everyone"s passports in colour but im not sure if we have to take their passports as well to be certified,can anyone give me advise.thanks! FTA Posted March 15, 2016 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Who is signing the 888 form? The witness/es or the celebrant? It sounds like you are all getting 888 forms signed by the celebrant. Guest Posted March 15, 2016 Share Posted March 15, 2016 IIRC we had to have the Aus passport scans certified by whatever recognised Aussie person it was. So the stat decs were written by our family and friends, then they and the accompanying proof of person were certified by someone on the Aus list (I think we had a doctor or magistrate or some such do ours).
