calNgary Posted March 8, 2016 Share Posted March 8, 2016 If your coming to QLD you dont need ambulance cover like you do in other states. If you go to a Bulk Bill GP there is no charge, if they don't Bulk Bill you pay a fee and Medicare refund some. For example my Dr charges $65 and Medicare pay around $36 of that. If you need accident and emergency you just go , no charge. If your GP wants to refer you to a specialist ,ask to go public instead of private if possible and again ,no charge.
