Bibbs
Is 6000 a month before, or after tax? Does that exclude Super? What sort of lifestyle do you lead? I have a spreadsheet with all my standard expenses (just bills) and it comes to $5k a month. So then throw food, drink, socialising, holidays etc. on top. That's just me, no kids. Suzukiscottie
Sydney is a big place. So it depends on where you will be living. I'd guess that you may struggle if you wanted a penthouse apartment with a view of the Bridge/Opera House. Plenty of people, families included, will manage to get by on that kind of income. Cut your cloth accordingly.
