IanS61
I am looking for a definitive answer, "can you ship stuff before visa grant ?" I am waiting on a contributory parent visa 143, the current wait is about 24 months, and like others I am intending to fly out early on a tourist visa (e600) and await visa grant. I was hoping to ship all our stuff before we leave so we don't have too long to wait for it. I know there is a risk of not getting the visa, but we are both fit & healthy, so don't anticipate any problems. there seems to be various answers out there, " no not possible" , "yes but you have to pay import tax on new items" etc, etc. any help would be appreciated. Ian.
Guest
I was told the person signing the paperwork had to have a valid visa (not a tourist visa) or an AUS passport. Luckily my husband was signing and he's an Aussie.
Rossmoyne
I wouldn't just in case the visa wasn't approved ...
shelz
We had to provide evidence of our visa grants prior to shipping...sounds like you might have to wait :-/
