Unrelated qualifications to occupation

I desperately need advice!

On 14/01/2016 I was emailed by Victoria University, notifying me of a successful outcome of my job assessment as a Welder (First Class).

I was expecting a statement on my B.A. degree, being comparable to Australian B.A. degree, as well, however, they have not stated anything on that.

I received my B.A. on "English Language Translation" from an Iranian university, which I am pretty sure that has an acceptable B.A program, when it comes to AQF.

Upon filling my EOI, on "Qualification" section, it says "what is your highest tertiary education that you have attended or attending..." and it confuses me as what to select.

Having attended vocational school and working as a welder, I managed to obtain that successful outcome, but, I do need 15 points of my Bachelor's degree as well to be qualified for a subclass 189 or 190 visa!

Any advice?

Thanks for reading.

If you hold a qualification (in any discipline) that was assessed as comparable to an Australian degree you would be awarded 15 points.

For degrees from Iran, the comparability with Australian qualifications depends on the status of the conferring institution.

Thank you for your reply,

So, are you basically saying that if I manage to assess the B.A (like via VETASSESS, SRG34 program), I will get 15 points even though it is not related to my occupation?
