I am wanting to come to australia initially as a tourist to make sure I at least like it and to have a good travel around in a camper van.. I have applied for a 600 visa and they asked for just proof of banking and an itinerary. It says on line that it takes a working day for a decision for non risk countries.. Guest Posted January 27, 2016 Share Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) I figure they just want to know, especially if you have asked for 6 or 12 months that you are a genuine tourist and have funds to support yourself and to depart Aus at the end. Did you want to be just a full on tourist or were you wanting to work a bit and therefore the WHV would have been the better option (if not too old for it).
