robyn1351 Posted January 19, 2016 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Hello, I came to Oz as a 15 year old with my parents and have been here 50 years and plan to retire back in England on the full Australian Age Pension. I did a working holiday in the mid 70's for a year and can obtain my National Insurance number. I am going over with my Australian wife and she is keen to move to Portugal instead of the UK. So, I am trying to work out how I can get an S1 Certificate of Entitlement from the UK so that I have medical coverage in Portugal (in case we do end up there). I understand I will need to back pay pension payments for 10 years and am sending away for a quote to find out how much that will be. But without the S1 Portugal is off the table.
