russab2000
HI All My wife grew up in Zimbabwe and worked in South Africa before coming over to the UK just under 7 years ago, I am currently waiting on my invite and would like to get the ball rolling on requesting a Police clearance (they take forever from that part of the world), but just a bit stumped on which country to get the clearance from April 2009 - to date -UK - Get clearance say 7 years (if application in April 16) Jan 2008 - April 09 - South Africa - On a 2 year work visa Jan 2006 - Dec 07 - South Africa - Study visa, commuting back to Zimbabwe to see family during holidays My theory is that to cover the 10 year requirement would be - 7 years UK 1 yr 3 months years South Africa as working on a visa (note this is not residence) 1 yr 9 months Zimbabwe clearance - As a student in South Africa you do not live there but rather study Any ideas comments would be greatly appreciated Also is there any harm in getting more than 10 years i.e. rather than specific dates of each month just go from the earliest therefore may have 10 years and a month or so thanks
CaptainC
You will only get a general police certificate that covers all records held about a person. Your wife will need a SA, Zimbabwe and UK PCC to cover the whole ten year period of countries resided in.
