Live-in Au Pair Position – Aspendale Gardens– JAN 2016

Lovely, hardworking, single mum based in Aspendal Gardens, Melbourne, is looking for an experienced live-in Au Pair to help care for her 2 children aged 7 and 4.

Mum works shifts as a nurse and Dad is actively involved in the children’s lives, having them a couple nights a week. The family like to live an active normal life with the children being involved in sports, loves playing outdoors but also like down time watching movies, playing games and hanging out.

Mum needs support with the children before and after school/Kindy, couple of full days with the 4 year old and the occasional overnight care when the mum is on call. Role is 30 hours per week, mostly Mon-Fri, Wednesdays are free as well as weekends and any extra time will be paid accordingly.

This is an excellent position in a lovely 2 story, 3 bedroomed home. Aspendale Gardens is a small, family friendly community approximately a 40min train ride or 30min car ride from Melbourne CBD. We are close to beaches, the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and parks and walking/bike tracks. The home is near public transport so you don’t need to drive for this position.

In addition to great accommodation and meals, you will have your own room, TV, access to WIFI and a weekly wage will be approx $210per week for 30 hours (any overnight care will be paid extra).

We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident with the children, who is reliable and dependable and can work independently and autonomously, as there will be occasions where the Au Pair will be home alone with the kids overnight in the event the mum is called into work. The family are looking for someone to be part of their family and enjoy this experience.

The role also includes light housework, cooking for children and helping with homework.

We are looking for someone who has great English who can stay for 6 months.

All our families are screened to ensure your safety and we ensure you receive the correct amount of pay and are paid on time. We do not charge Au Pairs for organising Families.
