Hi! We are seeking one live in female au pair/ farm hand starting ASAP. We would ask that the successful applicant stay through until at least the end of January. This is an “all-rounder” position and would be ideally suited to a 2nd year visa applicant.

We require some help with our children, general house duties, feeding of animals, riding horses, and some basic farm work. We live approximately 90kms north of Clermont in Central Queensland on a cropping & cattle property. The position is very varied in that you will be doing any manner of things including playing with children, general household cleaning, cooking, baking, mustering, mowing lawns or gardening. Basically anything that we do, you will be doing also. (Generally an extra pair of hands.)

The applicant is to have good initiative and good observation skills; (That is, I do not want to be constantly saying what needs to be completed); someone who is prepared to be flexible with their work hours; is extremely neat and tidy; and has good personal hygiene. The applicant will need to be trust worthy & be able to work unsupervised at times.

The position is for 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) with Saturday & Sunday your days off. There is also the option to work (some) weekends for extra cash.

Our au pairs are part of our family and it is important to us that they have a wonderful Australian experience. There is great network of au pairs in our area. This means you will have friends very quickly! We have had au pairs previously so things tend to run smoothly and there are no hidden surprises. This is a paid position and as the only expenses you have are personal, it is a great opportunity to live and work in country Australia and save money. We can also sign off on your second year visa for you.

We have a busy calendar over the next few months.

Duties include but not limited to:*Feeding Animals

• Playing with children

• Driving Tractors

• House cleaning

• Babysitting

• Some basic farm work eg mowing, watering, gardening.

Other required attributes:

• Experience with children an advantage

• Drivers license essential (your own car would be to your benefit but not essential)

• Good English

• Good Swimming skills – We have a pool

  • Good horse riding skills – We have a lot of horses that need working & riding
    • Someone who likes animals
    • Nonsmoking

In return:

• Private, room near our house

• Approx $600 a week

• 2nd year visa sign off

• Experience country Australia
