paulw3012
G'day to you all on here, I'm new to this site and it seems pretty good and educational. Does anyone have any info or advice on what I will need to do, i.e. register with government, tax, etc etc as I'm hoping to return back and start again after 42 years, I have dual citizenship, so feel all I have to do is return, find a job and enjoy my home country. The best way of finding female companions, hopefully to form a relationship ready for my return, I really don't know where to start and hopefully many of you can give me valuable advice. I would appreciate anything you have,Many thanks paul
Cherry Allen
Hi, you are in a similar situation to me, I am an Aussie in the UK returning back next year. You will need a tax file number so contact the ATO (tax office) on your return and you will need to get a Medicare card. You will be able to claim benefits from Centrelink. Good luck! paulw3012
Hi, thankyou for that but how do you mean exactly claim benefits, ? Do you mean for medical or to help me financially until I get work ?
Cherry Allen
Benefits till you find work. As an Australian citizen you should get these. Where are you heading in Oz?
paulw3012
Hi, well that's surprised me the fact, that I may get benefits to assist me until I'm working, and I'm focusing on Brisbane as ive been there twice but to be honest, I'm open to suggestions from anyone.
