Wannabe
I am an Indian and was living in UAE in 2008 and after 14 months of stay left the country (job loss) with unpaid credit card dues and loans. Last 5 years I am staying in Victoria on 457 visa. My PCC application with Dubai police has been rejected. Its obvious I will have banks filed case against me for cheque bouncing, which is a criminal offence in UAE. My question is can I apply for Permanent Residence in Australia given the fact that my PCC from UAE has failed on account of bank default? I understand bank default is not a criminal offence in Australia.
