2yrs of working are counted for applying for ENS?

Hi i'm on pins and needles now.

I've been working for a company for 2 yrs on 457 and asked my employer to sponsor me on ENS. But he says he can't.

What are my options to get PR at this point?

Is there a way of applying for PR myself or it is a must to find a new employer? Realistically it is hard for me to apply for 189 as i'm over 40 yrs old.

If i find a new employer who can sponsor me on ENS, can my previous working times be counted?

I don't mind being sacked as long as i get PR.

Can anyone help me please? I panicked.

Please help?

It should still be perfectly possible to apply for a 189 or 190 visa at the age of 40. Have you calculated your points and factored in points for English test results? This is probably your best bet.

If you really feel that you cannot get the points, then yes you would need to find a new employer willing to sponsor for permanent visa. You would either have to do another two years on a 457 with this employer, or you would need to pass a skills assessment and go through the Direct Entry stream. Not that many employers are happy to go straight for permanent employer sponsored however.
