fingers crossed
Hey all my mum has a tourist visa which is valid until April2016. She has already spent 3 weeks in Oz this may then returned home. i know the visa permits a stay of 3 months but is that a maximum of 3 months in the 12 month period or can she stay upto 3 months say 3 times? Very confusing just trying to spread her stays across the year without exceeding limits. also would she need to return home to the UK or can she move on to stay with other family in Dubai and Hong Kong? itegoa
You mean eVisitor visa (subclass 651)? http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/651.aspx
fingers crossed
That's the one. Maybe I am just thinking about this too much but this means that some one could stay 3 months, leave for the weekend then return for another 3 months and keep doing this?? as much as I love my mother I am not sure I would want her to know about this. So as long as she doesn't overstay she could continue to visit on this visa for years to come?
Bungo
So as long as she doesn't overstay she could continue to visit on this visa for years to come? Well no, because as you mentioned it expires in April 2016.
fingers crossed
but she could apply for another 651 visa?
Bungo
but she could apply for another 651 visa? She wouldn't be able to get these back to back forever no. Not without significant periods of time outside the country in between.
