189 Visa Submitted - Questions

Hi all,

 

 

I submitted my 189 Visa application and payment on March 9th and so far I have not heard any further correspondence apart from the initial acknowledgement letter.

 

 

I submitted the following:-

 

 

Passport: Certified copy

IELTS: Colour scan

Skills and Work Experience Assessment: Colour scan

Work References: Colour scan

P60 Certificates: Colour scan

Bank Statements: Colour scan

Degree: Colour scan

 

 

Questions:

 

 

1) I have not done the PCC or medical yet, I see others here who applied this year upload everything at once. Is this required or will the case officer contact me after they are assigned for medical and PCC. I don't want the application to stall if they will only assign the case officer once all the info is uploaded)

 

 

2) I have only certified my passport, all other items are colour scans. Will the CO ask if they need anything else certified?

Hi Lee,

 

if your in no rush you can wait for a CO to be assigned then arrange your medicals and PCC. just remember you will require a visit to activate your visa , usually one year from the date your pcc or medical was completed ( which ever was first).

 

no need to certify documents , as long as you upload colour docs.

 

Ps ..i waited 6 weeks for a CO to be assigned.
