Dear Friends

I am about to prepare CDR for Australian Immigration and have query

I am about to write my CDR based on Electrical Engineering category. I have 8 + years experience as an electrical engineer.

I want to know that can I include my final year Project from my engineering university in one of Career Episode ??? or should I include work related projects only?

One of the consultant told me that since I have 8+ years in my area so Ishould not include my Engineering college final year project but all work related projects only.

I want to know that If I include one of my College project in my CDR (after 8 + year electrical engineering experience) then will Engineer's Australia decline my assessment?

Any Help Friends???

Ali

As far as I know there is no such limitation. Sometimes you'll find that your professional experience may not cover all elements of the CDR requirement but university projects can be pretty broad and may come in handy.

Go through MSA booklet for more information- https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/shado/About%20Us/Migration%20Skills%20Assessment/msa_booklet.pdf

OH I see Thank you buddy

I think most consultants are less educated or COPY CAT when it comes to Egnineer's case for Australia CDR

I am just worried that anyone being Electrical Engineer and experienced as "Planning & Development Engineer" role can apply for the category of "Electrical Engineer"

I am Electrical Engineering Graduate

Thanks

Compare your work duties to http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Product+Lookup/1220.0~2006~Chapter~UNIT+GROUP+2333+Electrical+Engineers

If you said yes to some of them then you are good to go.

Engineers Australia understands that Engineers are increasingly taking on more and more management tasks but as long the whole thing is related to "Engineering" it should be fine.

If you are too far off into management then you can apply as a Engineering Manager but in most cases you can simply get through as an Engineer.
