I do not have links, job offers or studied in NT, shall I go to 489 directly, or try my luck with the better 190? Ozmaniac Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Assuming your occupation is not one that requires a job offer to be eligible, they will probably be unwilling to nominate you for a 190 even if you state that you want a 190 and have enough points for one. By all means try for a 190 but don't be surprised if a 489 is the best you can do. The NT has learnt the hard way that restricting most applicants to a 489 is the only way they can be sure that people with state sponsorship will actually stay in the NT for at least a couple of years.
